How to Message Someone on Poshmark

Since Poshmark is designed partly as a social selling platform, the ability to communicate with potential buyers is important. Ironically, even though the marketplace is supposed to be a social one, the ability to message buyers can be a bit confusing and difficult. We hope this information will help you message Poshers if you want or need to.

If you want to send a message on Poshmark, keep in mind that all messages/comments become public once you post them. There are three ways you can message on Poshmark.

For messages specifically related to an item, you can add a comment on any listing (item in a closet) by going to the listing and clicking the comment icon. The listing will automatically open and your cursor will be dropped into a comment box. Type what you want to say and click send! All comments are saved for all eternity (unless the listing is deleted) so be careful what you say. Poshmark reserves the right to cancel your account for any comments they determine to be inappropriate.

For messages directed to the person/closet, you can look for a listing called “Meet the Posher” which is automatically created and added to everyone's account/closet when they create an account on Poshmark. Members are able to delete their Meet the Posher listing, so not everyone will have one. In cases where the closet is missing Meet the Posher, you can add comments to Sold listings, and even though it is done often, we find it to be strange.

If they have a lot of listings in their closet and their Meet the Posher is hard to find, you can click on the “About” button and the Meet the Posher listing (if one exists it will be there). Click the comment icon on the Meet the Posher listing and the listing will automatically open and your cursor will be dropped into a comment box. Type what you want to say and click send! All comments are saved for all eternity (unless the listing is deleted) so be careful what you say. Poshmark reserves the right to cancel your account for any comments they determine to be inappropriate.

There is one other way you can send a message on Poshmark….It’s called a bundle (and is also referred to as styling someone). Creating a Poshmark bundle can be complicated and confusing, (For more information on a Poshmark bundle, go here ”How to Bundle on Poshmark”) but it does provide a way to more privately message with a buyer – no messages are private on Poshmark, but messages linked to a bundle are more difficult to find than messages on lisitings. Once a bundle has been created, there will be a big comment button at the bottom of the item/listings that were added to the bundle. Click the comment button and your cursor will be dropped into a comment box. Type what you want to say and click send! Again, be careful what you say, Poshmark reserves the right to cancel your account for any comments they determine to be inappropriate. .
